BIOGRAPHY: Christopher J. McGinn has dedicated his professional career to advocating on behalf of consumers. Courts have appointed him as class counsel on behalf of consumers in more than 20 cases, including lawsuits against car dealers for consumer fraud, financial institutions for improperly disposing of repossessed vehicles, debt collectors for deceptive practices, and Verizon for overcharging small businesses.

Before opening his firm in May of 2007, Mr. McGinn was a senior associate at Galex Wolf, LLC in North Brunswick, New Jersey for three years, where he worked almost exclusively on consumer litigation. Prior to joining Galex Wolf, LLC, he worked as an associate at the Washington D.C.-based firm of Mehri & Skalet, PLLC in the firm's consumer and civil rights practices.

During law school Mr. McGinn served as Law Clerk for New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, Researcher for the consumer law section of Legal Services of New Jersey, and Law Fellow for Santa Monica-based Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights. For eight years prior to law school, Mr. McGinn worked for Public Citizen, a national consumer and environmental organization founded by Ralph Nader.

Mr. McGinn graduated with honors from Rutgers University School of Law, Newark, in 2001, where he received the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence and the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award in Criminal Law. He is a member of the Consumer Protection Law and Class Action Committees of the New Jersey Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, and the Middlesex County Bar Association. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. McGinn grew up in Westfield, New Jersey and currently resides in Princeton.
